Stephen P. Clark Government Center — Lobby

Overview

New porcelain tile for the public lobby of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, Miami-Dade County’s headquarters building in downtown Miami, carried through the lobby levels, around the escalators and along the corridors.

The design

A light, terrazzo-look porcelain gives the lobby one bright, continuous floor. It brightens a public space that residents pass through every day to do county business.

The work

The tile was cut and fitted around escalator wells, glass railings, columns and doorways, so the new floor runs cleanly from wall to wall on every level.
