A new floor for the City of Coconut Creek’s fitness center. The old wood floor was torn out and replaced with heavy-duty rubber sport tile in the spring of 2024.

The design
A speckled ash-grey rubber tile covers the entire room, from the cardio rows to the free-weight area. It cushions dropped weights, quiets the room and gives the bright blue and yellow walls a clean, neutral base.
The work
The wood floor and its framing came out down to the slab, the slab was prepared, and the rubber tile went down across the full room before the equipment was moved back in.
