Overview

New flooring for county offices at the Broward County Governmental Center East in downtown Fort Lauderdale: the Annex Suite 200 in 2023, and the Community Development offices in 2025. CIC was brought back for the second phase after the first.

The work

These were working offices. Each area was cleared, the old flooring came out, and grey wood-look vinyl plank went down with new vinyl base, then furniture, workstations and files went back in so staff could return. Phasing the work kept departments serving the public throughout.

The same plank runs through private offices, open workstations, conference rooms and corridors, giving the floors one consistent, durable surface that is easy to clean and maintain.
