Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School

Overview

New carpet squares for a large open room at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School, installed over the summer of 2021.

The design

Instead of one color wall to wall, the room is laid in a patchwork: blocks of red, royal blue and lime green set into a charcoal field. The pattern gives a big, plain room energy and color, and it plays off the orange and blue walls around it.

The work

The pattern was set out so the blocks land evenly across the whole room, with the squares cut tight to the walls, doors and built-in cabinets.
