Firm Leadership

Eloise Gonzalez

PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

Eloise is a Miami native whose legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of South Florida’s built environment. Since 1984, she has stood at the forefront of the construction industry as a specialty flooring and wall systems contractor, helping shape the region’s most enduring public and private spaces. At a time when few women were given a seat at the table, Eloise earned hers—and then made room for others to follow.

Her foundation was built early. While completing her degree in Building Construction at Miami-Dade College, Eloise founded Commercial Interior Contractors Corp. (CIC) during her junior year at the University of Miami, where she would later earn her degree in Business Administration. CIC was not created as a side pursuit—it was built with intention, discipline, and a long view toward permanence.

Over the decades, Eloise and CIC have contributed to many of South Florida’s most recognizable and culturally significant projects, including the American Airlines Arena, CocoWalk, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Marlins Park, the MIA Mover, the Lawson Courthouse, and multiple terminals at Miami International Airport—the largest airport development program in the world. Beyond the region, Eloise considers her role in the reconstruction of Haiti’s Toussaint Louverture International Airport following the nation’s devastating earthquake to be her most personal and defining contribution.

Eloise’s influence extends well beyond job sites. A member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization since 2000, she has been instrumental in mentoring and developing the next generation of business leaders through EO’s Accelerator Program since its inception. Her commitment to education and entrepreneurship is further reflected in her service to the Miami-Dade College Foundation, the Idea Center advisory board, and the Global Student Entrepreneur Association. In 2010, her contributions were formally recognized with her induction into the Miami-Dade College Hall of Fame.

Today, Eloise resides in Miami and continues to guide the firm she founded more than four decades ago. She is the proud mother of Francisco—her business partner and the next steward of CIC’s legacy—and Ledah, a successful attorney. Together, they represent the continuation of values built on integrity, resilience, and long-term commitment to community.

As Vice President of Commercial Interior Contractors Corp. (CIC), Francisco oversees the firm’s financial strategy, internal controls, policies and procedures, and day-to-day operations. He plays a central role in translating vision into execution—driving performance across teams, projects, and long-term initiatives that keep CIC competitive in a demanding construction market.

Francisco joined CIC in 2016 after beginning his career in finance at HSBC Bank in New York City. While his professional foundation was built in corporate finance, his roots are firmly planted in the Miami construction industry, where he grew up immersed in job sites, project meetings, and the realities of building a business that lasts. That dual background—financial discipline paired with field awareness—has shaped his leadership style and decision-making.

Since joining the firm, Francisco has taken on increasing responsibility across complex renovation and interior construction projects, helping guide successful outcomes on public, institutional, and private-sector work throughout South Florida. His leadership has strengthened CIC’s operational rigor, improved financial visibility, and modernized internal processes—positioning the company for sustained growth while protecting the standards and reputation established over decades.

Francisco has been instrumental in advancing CIC’s adoption of new technologies, sustainable construction practices, and forward-thinking renovation methodologies. He approaches leadership with a long-term mindset, balancing innovation with accountability and an understanding of regulatory, contractual, and stakeholder-driven environments—an approach reinforced by both his academic background in political science and history and his continued executive education.

In 2019, Francisco was selected as a graduate of the Miami Dade College 10,000 Small Businesses Program, where he further refined his strategic, financial, and operational leadership as a small business owner navigating growth, risk, and scale.

Proud to carry forward his mother’s original vision, Francisco represents the next generation of leadership at CIC. As a young contractor and small business operator, he is deeply invested in continuity, stewardship, and ensuring that the company’s legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and reliability continues well into the future.
